Libraries mean business

Posted on 16th April 2014 in

Acton Library will open to the public on the 19th April following a major transformation.

The town’s library has relocated to the Everyone Active Centre, into the revamped old Assembly Hall on the first floor and is called Acton Town Hall Library. Run by Carillion for the council, it offers users a 21st Century experience, with free computers, a Learning Suite and Wi-Fi alongside its books, DVDs and other items, and self-service check out.

The space offers an excellent opportunity for local businesses and entrepreneurs to touch down and take advantage of the free resources available to support their business activities.

The Learning Suite offers a modern IT suite and can be hired for out for business related training and events.  For more information about hiring the Learning Suite and charges please contact Jastinder Kudhail on 0203 700 1056

Libraries mean business

London Business Portal - The London Business Portal brings together the resourses of three London library authorities, and those of our partners, together in one place. The London Business Portal has been created by Cultural Community Solutions who operate libraries across Ealing, Harrow and Hounslow and has been developed as part of the Enterprising Libraries initiative. Enterprising Libraries is a joint initiative between the Arts Council, the British Library and Department of Communities and Local Government which encourages the use of library spaces and resources to stimulate economic growth.
