Library Press – Harrow and Hounslow Libraries

Posted on 15th April 2014 in General news, Starting a business

The library press is a project involving Harrow and Hounslow libraries and is focussed on supporting people on their journey from a blank page and a first flash – or even just a little spark – of inspiration through to a finished publication.
Whether it’s a simple, handmade book for family and friends or a digital masterpiece destined for the web, we help to get people publishing. Pop Up publishing with The Library Press The Library Press will be working with to provide creative 'pop up' publishing opportunities. This is an opportunity to explore ideas such as 'booksprinting' and take a look at the blurring lines between digital and physical publishing. A challenging but practical exploration of the ways that people can use the bookleteer platform to develop their own publications and content. Places are limited. To find out more and to book a place email or visit
The first workshop will take place in Hounslow library on Tuesday 6th and Thursday 8th May at 5.00pm.

Libraries mean business

London Business Portal - The London Business Portal brings together the resourses of three London library authorities, and those of our partners, together in one place. The London Business Portal has been created by Cultural Community Solutions who operate libraries across Ealing, Harrow and Hounslow and has been developed as part of the Enterprising Libraries initiative. Enterprising Libraries is a joint initiative between the Arts Council, the British Library and Department of Communities and Local Government which encourages the use of library spaces and resources to stimulate economic growth.
